Only for the few! Messerschmitt Me 163B Komet & Scheuch-Schlepper in a limited edition from COBI!

Discover a one-of-a-kind construction set that will take you to the heart of the secret Luftwaffe projects from World War II!

This exclusive set is a journey to one of the most fascinating episodes of aviation history of the 20th century. It was created for those who can appreciate precision of workmanship, historical authenticity and the unique character of limited editions.

Build the only rocket fighter in the history of aviation used in combat - the Messerschmitt Me 163B "Komet" - and the specialized Scheuch-Schlepper vehicle used to transport this extraordinary machine after landing.

This limited edition in 1:32 scale, consisting of 665 elements including two unique figurines, is a real treat for collectors, history enthusiasts and modelers!

A legend of speed and desperation

"Komet" is a true icon of extreme engineering - an aircraft that was so fast that it was ahead of its time... and the technical capabilities of the era.

It was the first and only rocket-powered aircraft in the history of military aviation to enter combat service.

Designed under conditions of the highest secrecy, the Me 163B was to be the Luftwaffe's response to the massive Allied air raids. This futuristic fighter reached a dizzying speed of over 1000 km/h, which made it practically unmatched by the fighters escorting bombers of the time.

Heine Dittmar's test flight in 1941, at a speed of 1,130 km/h, broke all records at the time and became a milestone in the history of aviation.

The Me 163 was so technologically advanced that for many years the Allies were unable to understand its design and capabilities - it was too fast, too radical, too dangerous.

However, what was its greatest asset was also its greatest flaw.

The flight time of this machine was only about 12 minutes and the range from 70 to 100 km, which significantly limited its operational capabilities, so after identifying the airports from which the "Komets" operated, Allied bomber formations could simply avoid them.

After using up fuel, the plane turned into a glider, forcing the pilots to make difficult and risky landings without propulsion - often sliding on the skid, without the possibility of taking off again. These aircraft could only take part in combat operations again after being towed to the airport and prepared for take-off there.

Due to these unusual inconveniences, only the best and bravest pilots were able to control this machine, fight and, above all, land it safely. Among these few pilots, there was also a woman, whose figurine was reproduced in the set.

"Komet" was an expression of desperation in the final years of the war, an attempt to create a miracle weapon that would turn the tide of the conflict.

Although it did not achieve strategic success, its technological legacy inspired future jet and rocket designs around the world.

The Messerschmitt Me 163B is a symbol of the risky race of technology, the courage of pilots and the boundaries that humanity was willing to cross in the name of air superiority.
