V-1 Flying Bomb (Fieseler Fi 103) Limited Edition set from COBI - build a legendary weapon of World War II!
Now, thanks to the limited edition of the V-1 Flying Bomb (Fieseler Fi 103) set, you have a unique opportunity to build one of the most important historical models - the V-1 Flying Bomb rocket in 1:35 scale.
The V-1 rocket, also known as the "flying bomb", was one of the most groundbreaking and terrifying inventions of World War II. Developed by German engineer Fritz Gosslau, it was the first weapon that combined the features of an airplane and a missile, used for precision attacks on civilian and military targets. The introduction of the V-1 rocket in 1944 was intended to destroy strategic points in Great Britain, particularly London. Although the V-1 was an innovative weapon, it suffered from a number of technical problems, including an imprecise pulsejet engine and poorly designed wings.
Powered by a jet engine, the V-1 reached speeds of up to 640 km/h and had a range of 250 km, enabling it to strike targets in Great Britain. The first attacks on London took place in the summer of 1944, and the rocket used a simple odometer-based navigation system to precisely locate its target.
Production of the V-1 took place mainly in Germany, in special factories in Peenemünde, and later in other secret locations in occupied Europe. In addition to London and the coast of England, V-1 rockets were used to bomb cities such as Antwerp and Lille.
The V-1 was part of the German "V" retaliatory weapons program and was the forerunner of later rockets such as the V-2. Although less effective than the V-2, the V-1 rocket had enormous demoralizing potential. After the war, this technology had a major impact on the development of ballistic missiles in the US and the USSR.
This carefully crafted building kit allows you to feel the atmosphere of World War II and travel back to the times when this rocket was a symbol of war conflict.
It is a real treat for both history buffs and enthusiasts of block modeling.
