ORP Dzik was a U-class submarine transferred to Poland by Great Britain in 1942. Although it entered service later than ORP Sokół, it quickly earned a reputation as one of the most effective Polish submarines of World War II.

Its verified list of successes includes five sunk ships with a total tonnage of approximately 8,650 GRT, three sunk landing craft and one damaged enemy ship. Together with ORP Sokół, it formed the legendary duo known as the "Terrible Twins," whose legend has become a permanent part of 20th-century naval history.

After the war, the submarine was returned to the Royal Navy and then transferred to the Danish Navy – initially under the name U1, and later "Springeren." In October 1957, it finally returned to the Royal Navy and was scrapped in April 1958.
