Add the exceptional M18 Hellcat & Kettenkrad set to your collection - an extensive, limited edition inspired by the dramatic events in the Ardennes during the winter of 1944.

Discover this unique set, available exclusively at official COBI stores and only while supplies last.

The American M18 Hellcat "Hell’s Angel" tank destroyer, the German Kettenkrad and the Goliath self-propelled mine form an extraordinary set that transports collectors right into the heart of some of World War II's fiercest battles.

Using the 1,506 bricks included in the set, you can build:

• A detailed model of the M18 Hellcat "Hell’s Angel" tank destroyer – a faithfully reproduced 1:28 scale vehicle over 23 cm long, featuring accurate historical markings, working tracks and a turret with a 76mm gun. In this limited edition, the model stands out with a unique, one-of-a-kind winter camouflage scheme; the standard version of the vehicle features a different paint job.

• A detailed interior and Wright Continental R-975-C4 engine – a removable "heart of the machine" alongside a meticulously designed interior and crew stations.

• A model of the German Sd.Kfz. 2 Kettenkrad – a compact half-track transport vehicle with a distinctive front motorcycle wheel. The model also includes a special transport trailer that increases its carrying capacity.

• A self-propelled Goliath mine - a small, remote-controlled Wehrmacht vehicle recreated with attention to historical detail. It features movable tracks and a drum replicating the three-strand telephone cable used for control and detonation.

• Moving parts - a rotating Hellcat turret, a traversing gun barrel cradle shrouded in a distinctive canvas cover, opening armor plates revealing the interior, movable Kettenkrad wheels and numerous details that enhance the realism and appeal of the models.

• 5 unique figures available exclusively in this edition:

• Tank destroyer commander - dressed in a brown tanker jacket and a classic American M1 helmet with winter camouflage. He looks like an officer ready to lead his crew through the toughest engagement. He wears goggles and his gloved hands hold binoculars and a military map as he constantly scans the battlefield.

• Tank destroyer crewman - wearing a brown tanker jacket, a green tanker helmet with goggles, and a cigarette casually held in his mouth, he looks like a true veteran of frontline skirmishes. Gloves protect him from the cold, and an M3 carbine is always close at hand, ready to defend the vehicle and crew.

• US Army Military Policeman - clad in a long winter coat and a balaclava worn under his helmet, he maintains order at a strategic crossroads. He carries an M1 rifle slung across his back and holds the distinctive white baton used by military police to signal traffic, even in the harshest weather conditions.

• US Army Chaplain – wearing a clerical stole over his brown military jacket, with a cross symbol adorning his green M1 helmet. He accompanies the soldiers not only on the march but also during moments of quiet reflection at a field shrine featuring a wooden cross.

• German Panzergrenadier – heavily armed and combat-ready, clad in a helmet and "pea-pattern" camouflage uniform. He wears a balaclava under his helmet and gloves on his hands; he looks every bit the soldier prepared for the fiercest combat. Armed with an MP 40 submachine gun, he escorts a formidable Goliath tracked mine, ready to carry out a dangerous mission.

• Diorama accessories – the set is enhanced with realistic battlefield elements inspired by the Ardennes and the fighting for Noville. At the center of the scene stands a roadside shrine with a cross on a patch of overgrown grass—a silent witness to the chaos of war. Nearby lies a section of road churned up by explosions. The atmosphere is completed by a distinctive signpost reading "NOVILLE," marking the site of one of the most dramatic skirmishes of the winter offensive.

• Exclusive black collector’s plaque – laser-engraved with the model name, scale and limited-edition number.

• Certificate of authenticity – a numbered document signed by the COBI CEO, confirming the set's unique nature.

Why is this set worth having?

• Intuitive assembly – clear, step-by-step instructions make building the set a pleasure for both younger builders and adult collectors.

• Historical value – the set recreates the realities of combat during the Battle of the Bulge and the dramatic clashes at Noville.

• Expandability – the set can be combined with other models from the HISTORICAL COLLECTION WWII series to create your own battle scenarios.

M18 Hellcat – the scourge of German tanks

The M18 Hellcat was one of the fastest American armored vehicles of World War II. Thanks to its lightweight design and Torqmatic automatic transmission, it could reach speeds of up to 89 km/h, enabling lightning-fast "hit-and-run" attacks.

The "Hell’s Angel" M18 Hellcat model is based on a vehicle from the 705th Tank Destroyer Battalion, which distinguished itself during the heavy fighting in the Ardennes in late 1944 and early 1945. Hellcat crews utilized the vehicle's mobility and 76mm gun to effectively destroy German Panther and Tiger tanks, often launching ambushes and immediately repositioning.

Kettenkrad and Goliath mine

The Sd.Kfz. 2 Kettenkrad was a lightweight German half-track vehicle; originally designed for airborne troops, it quickly became a versatile Wehrmacht machine. It was used for transporting soldiers, laying cables, towing light artillery and hauling supplies. Its half-track design allowed it to perform exceptionally well in mud, snow and rough terrain.

The Goliath mine was a small, remote-controlled demolition vehicle used by the Wehrmacht to destroy fortifications, buildings and armored vehicles. Controlled via a telephone cable, it could carry up to 100 kg of explosives.

Noville: The Dramatic Prelude to the Siege of Bastogne

On December 19, 1944, fierce fighting broke out for the Belgian village of Noville, located north of Bastogne. This was a pivotal episode in the Battle of the Bulge, featuring a clash between American units from the 10th Armored Division and the 101st Airborne Division against the German 2nd Panzer Division. Major Desobry’s combat team was tasked with blocking the roads leading to Bastogne; despite their limited numbers, they held off successive German attacks for two days under extremely harsh weather conditions. Fog, snow and poor visibility made the fighting exceptionally chaotic and brutal.

The battle for Noville became a symbol of the determination shown by American soldiers during the defense of Bastogne and throughout the Ardennes offensive.

And how will your story end? That is up to you. But first, you have to build it.
