The F-16®C Fighting Falcon is one of the most widespread and highly regarded multirole fighter aircraft in the world. Developed by Lockheed Martin (originally by General Dynamics), it first took to the skies in the 1970s and remains a key component of the air forces of many nations to this day.

The aircraft was designed as a lightweight, agile fighter featuring exceptional maneuverability and state-of-the-art avionics. Thanks to the implementation of a fly-by-wire system and a distinctive cockpit offering excellent visibility, the pilot maintains full control over the aircraft even in the most demanding combat conditions.

F-16 aircraft (C/D variants) have served in the Polish Air Force since 2006, when the first units arrived at the 31st Tactical Air Base in Krzesiny. Since then, they have constituted one of the most critical elements of Poland's air defense, regularly participating in NATO missions and international exercises.
