A 1:35 scale model of the "Kubuś" armored car - a set prepared for the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising!    

The "Kubuś" armored car model is a tribute to the heroic Warsaw insurgents.
In August 1944, this improvised vehicle was built in Stanisław Kwiatkowski's car workshop on the corner of Tamka and Topiel streets. The Warsaw Power Plant donated a Chevrolet truck, sheet metal, angle irons, welding and electrical equipment, and electrodes for the project. The group building the vehicle obtained the remaining necessary materials on its own.
The Warsaw Uprising broke out on August 1, 1944 and lasted until October 3 of the same year. It was an armed action of the Polish resistance movement, mainly the Army Krajowa, against the German occupiers, aimed at liberating Warsaw before the arrival of the Red Army.
The 1:35 scale model, created in cooperation with the Polish Army Museum, faithfully reproduces the most important features of the original "Kubuś" vehicle. This vehicle took an active part in the Warsaw Uprising and is now a museum exhibit, being a symbol of Polish ingenuity, heroism and patriotism.
Still maintained in running condition, it honors important state and historical ceremonies. This is another set created from the cooperation of COBI and the Polish Army Museum, a cooperation that is an honor and pleasure for our company, and the MWP symbol will always be welcome on the boxes with our sets.

Build a model of the "Kubuś" armored car!
Building this set is a great opportunity to enjoy every stage of the work and pay tribute to the Warsaw insurgents.
The model contains 302 elements, which ensure exceptional precision of workmanship and reproduction of details, such as steel sheets, armament and characteristic details. The set includes original prints, as well as the emblem of the Wydra Motor Column, which was located on the vehicle's bumper. Attention was also drawn to the unusual entrance to Kubuś, through a hole in the floor, which was included in the model.

Warsaw insurgents' figures
The set includes two figures representing soldiers from the insurgent army:
A soldier of the Wydra Motor Column: In a gray overalls with a white and red armband on the arm, with a "Wydra" patch and a blue forage cap.
A soldier of the "Rafałka" platoon: With a characteristic yellow triangular pennant with a skull and the letter ""R"" on his helmet.
Equipment and accessories
The model is equipped with a DP-28 machine gun, consistent with the original Kubuś's armament. Additionally, the upper hatch of the vehicle can be opened to place a figure inside, which adds realism to the entire structure. The figures are equipped with weapons, including: a STEN machine gun, a Bren light machine gun, a hand grenade, a mine, a bottle of gasoline and a piece of barbed wire, which additionally make the set more attractive for builders of historical dioramas.

Thanks to the clearly marked step-by-step illustrations and clear tips, the process of assembling the blocks becomes not only easy but also enjoyable. Regardless of experience, anyone, regardless of age, will be able to fully enjoy assembling the set.
The "Kubuś" armored car is a unique set that not only allows you to create a model of one of the symbols of the Warsaw Uprising, but also is a great souvenir of the 80th anniversary of this historical event.
