The one on my desk is very close to RAL 5012 "Lichtblau", which is the name of the shade used for the 50/1 (though, of course, the GDR used "TGL" and not "RAL", I just don't have a TGL palette here), according to wikipedia. The 601 was available in "Pastellblau", a color more gray than the model, if the RAL shade is any indication.
I'd say it's a very good fit, at least for my West-German-that-only-visited-the-GDR-a-handful-of-times-as-a-child eyes ;-)

It's a very cool model.
Too bad, there is an error.
Now the Trabi has three axes and no seats.

This is our standard color for blocks. We do not create new colors for models. I use similar colors

I'd love to see some Lada/Autovaz models, particularly the Niva/4x4, any chance for that?
