Build the Sherman Firefly!

The set includes 400 pieces, 2 figures and a ton of accessories. It features a British version of the American M4 Sherman tank, developed in early 1944. It differed from the U.S. version by having a more powerful 17-pounder gun, different placement of the radio and ammunition, no bow gun, and no driver's assistant position. The Sherman Firefly became the most common vehicle with the 17-pounder in the war. This COBI block tank is equipped with movable parts such as caterpillars and a turret. Reinforce your troops with Small Army tanks, planes, helicopters, military trucks or take command of a military battleship and create your own army with COBI blocks.

A great addition to the extended COBI Small Army collection.

Having build this one I must say I like the way it looks. Overall construction is good and the plastic feels sturdy. Really pleased with the pre-printed parts. I found I could improve the tracks slightly by removing the excess spru nubs. It's a painstaking job, but it makes their movement more fluent and thus less prone to come off. But it's no guarentee for this.

    Hi.
My son loves these sets and the Firefly is his fourth but he is pretty disappointed with the tracks. This must be the only tank that can un-track itself going in a straight line. Are there any plans to rectify this fault and make it available to people who already bought the set?
    Thanks.

Please can you announce the release date of this set? I am waiting for a loooong time menawhile (-; And btw: I am fan of having it realistic as possible, so I think these tracks are looking much better than the one from the other Sherman set, which ar to big in comparrisson to the othr tanks. Thanks.

Hello, and thank you for your reply. For reference, the problem I mentioned is addressed in this video:

Essentially, it seems the smaller tracks have some sliding problems in surfaces that don't provide enough friction (i.e flat surfaces).

Do the tank tracks on this model slide as well as the wider ones? I've heard some complaints regarding the half-track sets mentioning that this kind of smaller tracks performs badly on flat surfaces.
